Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps small amounts of data on your device. We use as little as possible. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic (see the table below): outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland it may set analytics cookies, and inside those regions it runs without consent based cookies until you consent. We do not run advertising cookies yet.
What we use
| Category | Purpose | Set by | Needs consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembers which jokes you liked, using your browser's local storage (first party, on your device only). | One Perfect Day | No |
| Analytics (active) | Google Analytics, to understand how the Site is used (pages viewed, general location, device type). Cookieless in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland until you consent. | Yes | |
| Advertising (not yet active) | Google AdSense, to show ads and, with consent, to personalize them. | Yes |
Analytics and advertising
When we turn on Google Analytics and Google AdSense, those services may set their own cookies and process personal data such as your IP address and device identifiers. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we collect consent through a Google certified consent tool before any non essential cookies are set, and you can decline. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com.
How to manage cookies
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, and to clear local storage.
- In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, use the consent dialog to accept or decline non essential cookies, and to change your choice later.
- In the United States, see Your Privacy Choices to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt out.
Changes
We will update this page when our use of cookies changes, and change the "Last updated" date above.
